Why we built this
Most "cleaners" phone home, scan your files in the cloud, or quietly upgrade you to a subscription. We don't do any of that.
TidyMac runs entirely on your Mac. Zero data sent anywhere — verifiable in Activity Monitor.
A perpetual license. No recurring charges, no upgrade pressure, no account required.
No analytics, no crash reports without consent, no telemetry. Your Mac is yours.
We're launching soon. While we polish, the beta is yours to keep — no strings.

Yes. TidyMac is built natively in Swift, signed and notarized by Apple. It only touches files in user-approved locations, and every deletion moves to the Trash first — fully reversible.
Yes — and you can verify. TidyMac makes no network calls during scans or cleanups. The AI Assistant uses Apple Intelligence (on-device) by default, or a local LLM (Ollama) if installed.
CleanMyMac is subscription-based, requires an account, and sends usage data to MacPaw. TidyMac is a one-time purchase, no account, no telemetry. Plus a built-in AI Assistant that's local-first.
During beta — nothing. At launch: a one-time perpetual license. Scan is always free; the destructive actions (Clean, Uninstall, Tune Up) require Pro. No subscription.
Yes. TidyMac ships as a universal binary supporting both Apple Silicon (M-series) and Intel Macs running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
